Adam Klein graduated from the US Merchant Marine Academy in 2011 with a degree in Marine Engineering Systems and a concentration in Nuclear Engineering. After Graduation he sailed in the US Merchant Fleet on Deep Sea Vessels, Ship-assist tugs, and Offshore Drilling Vessels. Currently he holds a Chief Engineer’s license. He is an officer in the Navy Reserve’s Strategic Sealift Officer Program, and did a one year activation in which he served with Military Sealift Command Far East’s Headquarters in Singapore. His drive to become more active in the nonprofit sector came after he spent over half a year volunteering with Youth With a Mission – Medical Ships Australia during which time he served as a senior engineer on board the Hospital Ship YWAM PNG, which provides medical services to remote areas of Papua New Guinea. He is also a graduate student at the University of Central Florida.
Jeremy Brickey is a noted graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore County class of 2012. Since graduation he has worked with AKJ Publishing, and moved up the ranks from intern while still in school to his current role of National Sales Director. He is a published writer and author of two novels. His volunteering and fundraising experience stretches across numerous charities aimed at promoting awareness, and removing the stigma of mental health. Mr. Brickey is one of the founding members of Even Keel Development Inc, and one of its first contributors.
Steve Fuller retired as a Captain from the United States Navy after a very successful 27-year career that culminated with two tours with Military Sealift Command: Commodore the squadron of ships in the Far East out of Singapore and the initial Director of Training and Readiness at headquarters in Norfolk. In both capacities he took full advantage of every opportunity to get to know the Merchant Marines who sailed under his command and always sought out the best available means to provide them with the tools and services to succeed in their missions. Following an initial mentorship lunch with Adam Klein, they began a regular correspondence that continues to this day called My Three Things – a reflection on three things they are proud of that they accomplished during that week. This opened the door to a friendship inspired by good work and service which has resulted in the founding of Even Keel Development, Inc.
